Answers

  1. What is this site all about?
WeberTrivia is all about learning. Currently the site supports PHP Linux and MySQL Trivia Questions. The cool part is that you get to learn by playing Trivia. No one knows everything, so everyone has something to gain from playing this game.

  2. What are the game rules?
The objective of the game is to answer correctly as many True / False questions as possible. The game ends when the player fails to answer one of the questions correctly.

When a player starts a game he chooses a category to play in and the number of points he wishes to play for. He is then assigned to a Series which represents a group of 30 players. The player that answered, correctly, the highest number of questions wins the series and receives 30 times the number of points he or she played for (The series number of points). In case of a tie, the player that finished playing 1st wins.

  3. Must I register to WeberTrivia to play?
Yes, to play the game you need to register. The main reason is that we need to keep track of your points but there are other reasons such as keeping history for each player, showing the winners and Series Leaders on the site and more.

  4. How do I start a game?
After you register and activate your account, you need to login. You can do that on the left menu via the login form or via the "Login" form on the right top corner of the site. Once you are logged in, you can press the "Start Game" link on the left menu.

  5. What are these points I'm asked to choose when starting a game?
Besides the cool game and the learning opportunity, WeberTrivia is also a place to keep score and show everyone how smart you are. The more points you get means :

  6. How many questions must I answer to win?
There is no fixed number of answers that will make you a winner. There is only one winner in each series and it is the player that answered the highest number of correct answers in each game. If you answered 5 answers correctly and someone else answered 6 he will win. If you answered 10 correct questions and someone else answered 11 or more he will win. Just try to do your best in each game.

  7. How can i get more points?
If you are out of points of just want more, you can check
this page to find out how to get more.

  8. How can i get my site listed on the "Point Leaders in the last 30 days" list?
We got requests from users to allow them to put links to their sites. Obviously we can't link to everyone from our main page but we have decided to link to the 5 best players in the last 30 days. All you need to do is
Update "Your Site" in your profile, get yourself on one of the 5 first places on the "Point Leaders in the last 30 days" list and have a balance of at least 2000 points (in the last 30 days).

  9. When does a series end?
A series Ends when 30 games of the same type as the series were played. This number can change from time to time. You can't see how many games were played till now, you can only see who the leader of the series is. So if it's not you, you should start playing :).
